Small Actions. Global Impact.

Project FACTOR (Foundation for Action on Climate Thermal Change and Output Reduction) is dedicated to global education, advocacy, and policy for a sustainable future.

About Project FACTOR

Project FACTOR is a global campaign dedicated to climate education and advocacy, raising awareness for communities and institutions to take informed and meaningful action against climate change. Our mission is to promote global responsibility, foster international cooperation, and encourage sustainable reductions in environmental impact through science based strategies and evidence based solutions.

By combining data driven information with movement, Project FACTOR bridges scientific understanding and collective action to confront the urgent challenges posed by climate change. We believe that real progress happens when credible research informs public engagement and policy advocacy

Our vision is a world where practices are not the exception but the standard.

The Global Problem

Global greenhouse gas emissions, primarily from human activities, trap heat in the atmosphere, leading to rising surface temperatures. This causes extreme weather, sea level rise, ecosystem damage, and food/water insecurity.

Understanding the science behind climate change is crucial for effective action. Human activities like burning fossil fuels release greenhouse gases that create a "greenhouse effect," warming the planet beyond natural levels.

Climate Data

Global Emissions

CO₂ emissions have risen by more than 60% since 1990, largely due to the continued global dependence on fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas, as well as the rapid growth of industrial production. As economies expanded and energy demands increased, large scale combustion of these fuels released vast amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Deforestation and land use changes further intensified the problem by reducing the Earth’s capacity to absorb carbon emissions.

Climate Timeline

1990

Climate science enters global policy discussions, leading to the first IPCC assessment report.

2015

Paris Agreement signed by 196 parties, aiming to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius.

2024

Hottest year on record, underscoring the urgent need for accelerated global action.

Global Impact

Climate change affects food systems, infrastructure, health, and biodiversity across every continent. From shifting agricultural zones to the spread of vector-borne diseases, the impacts are far reaching.

Take Action

Individual and collective actions are tools for driving meaningful change in the fight against climate change and rising global emissions. While large scale policy and industry reforms are essential, everyday choices made by individuals and effort within communities can significantly reduce emissions and influence greater systematic shifts. When people act together, these efforts amplify impact and help create lasting climate solutions.

You can contribute by reducing your personal carbon footprint through simple yet effective practices such as using public transportation, or walking when possible. Supporting clean energy initiatives, whether by choosing renewable energy providers, investing in green technologies, or advocating for sustainable infrastructure helps accelerate the transition away from fossil fuels. Additionally, advocating for science based climate policies within your local community ensures that decisions are guided by credible research, motivating leaders to enact policies that protect both the environment and future generations.

Project FACTOR stands for decisive action. The science is clear, the stakes are real, and inaction is no longer an option. What we choose to do now will define the future of our planet.
